In 2025, Custom Cabinet Shop began an exciting new chapter under the family ownership of Jon and Lisa Haworth. Deeply committed to preserving the company’s legacy, they continue the tradition of craftsmanship, integrity, and personal service that has defined Custom Cabinet Shop since 1976.
Jon brings a mechanical engineering background to the business. His engineering perspective complements the company’s long-standing craftsmanship, supporting thoughtful design, precision construction, and continued operational excellence.
While ownership has transitioned, the company remains proudly family-owned — with the same dedication to quality custom cabinets and client care that has earned trust for decades.
Growth & Legacy
The roots of Custom Cabinet Shop trace back to 1953, when Dean Westbrooks began learning the craft of cabinetry in Murfreesboro. In 1976, he founded Custom Cabinet Shop, building the company on a commitment to craftsmanship and trusted relationships. Steve and Kathy Westbrooks shaped the company’s reputation through hands-on leadership and an unwavering dedication to exceptional workmanship and attention to detail.
Their leadership established the standards of quality and service that remain the foundation of Custom Cabinet Shop today, guiding the next chapter of the company.
Today, many of the craftsmen and team members who helped build that reputation remain part of the Custom Cabinet Shop, continuing the tradition of quality and care that has defined the company for generations. The new ownership remains committed to supporting and investing in the skilled people behind that work.
